㉘ ユウレイタケ
出羽島の山に現れる、森の小さな幽霊 〜ユウレイタケ（ギンリョウソウ）〜
出羽島の山道を歩いていると、薄暗い森の中で、真っ白な不思議な植物に出会うことがあります。
その名は「ユウレイタケ」。正式には「ギンリョウソウ（銀竜草）」と呼ばれ、透き通るような白い姿が小さな幽霊に似ていることから、この名前で親しまれています。
普通の植物とは違い、葉緑素を持たず光合成をしません。地中の菌類を通じて栄養を得る、とても珍しい植物です。
見頃：5月〜6月頃（春の終わり〜梅雨）
湿り気のある森の中で、落ち葉の間からひっそりと姿を現します。
青い海だけでなく、豊かな山の自然も出羽島の魅力のひとつ。
島の散策中に、森の小さな幽霊を探してみてはいかがでしょうか。

㉘ Monotropastrum
A Little Ghost in the Forest of Tebajima
〜 Ghost Plant (Ginryoso) 〜
While walking along the mountain trails of Tebajima, you may come across a mysterious, pure-white plant hiding in the shady forest.
Known in Japanese as “Yureitake,” its official name is “Ginryoso” (Silver Dragon Plant). Its delicate, ghostly white appearance gives it its unusual nickname.
Unlike ordinary plants, it contains no chlorophyll and does not photosynthesize. Instead, it gets its nutrients through underground fungi.
Best time to see: May–June
These mysterious plants quietly appear among fallen leaves in damp, shady forests.
Tebajima is not only known for its beautiful blue sea, but also for its rich mountain nature.
While exploring the island, why not keep an eye out for these little forest ghosts?
